Dan Hoodin, JD

Hospital Sisters Health System, VP, Managed Care Strategy & Developmen

In this newly created position, Dan Hoodin will lead development of the managed care strategy for HSHS; he began his service in April 2013. As the lead, he will develop strategic partnerships with payers, design and create physician networks, create new and innovative payment structures and ensure appropriate IT solutions are used to gather data needed to ensure best practices for population health management and medical management. Prior to joining HSHS, Mr. Hoodin served as Vice President, Contracting & Provider Services with Cigna Healthcare in Atlanta. From 2000 to 2009, he served the Southern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta in roles of increasing responsibility and from 1993 to 1999, as Vice President, Managed Care for VHA Central, Inc. in Indianapolis. Mr. Hoodin began his career in health care in 1985 at Providence Hospital in Cincinnati. He earned a Master of Hospital and Health Administration degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton, School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
