Kevin Andrews, FACHE

Pekin Hospital |President & Chief Executive Officer

PEKIN, Ill. -- The President and CEO of Pekin Hospital announced last Tuesday he will be retiring, effective June 4, 2012. Kevin R. Andrews, who has served the hospital in that position for 5 years, said his time there had been a pleasure. "In that time, we have seen our outcomes in patient satisfaction and quality of care increase," said Andrews. "I am particularly proud of the quality awards we have received. Pekin Hospital did that with the help of a first class medical staff and our wonderful nurses, lab staff, imaging staff, cardiopulmonary staff, and all who provide such excellent care to our patients." Rich Kriegsman, Board Chairman, said he was saddened to hear of Andrew's decision to leave the hospital, but recounted just how his leadership made the facility a stronger place. "Kevin's visionary leadership has provided the support for improved performance on all levels," said Kriegsman. "We are most appreciative of his efforts to build strong partnerships...He leaves us a stronger, better hospital that is well positioned in the healthcare market." The management company for the hospital, QHR, will soon embark on a nationwide search for someone to fill the position.
