Russ Sedmak has dedicated his architectural career to the advancement of patient and family-centered design principles. In the past 15 years, this advancement process has included the evolution of sustainable design as a way to improve the quality of healing environments for patients, families, and staff. He has led his firm and its clients in the design of two LEED Certified or eligible healthcare facilities, including Cancer Centers, during this span. As Heery's Director of Healthcare Design, Russ is committed to design excellence by the Heery team at consistent, internatinal practice level. He has spoken at several national conferences on the subject of sustainable design for healthcare, including applications for cancer centers.
