Bonnie Perratto, FACHE, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC

Bayhealth Medical Center, Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services, Chief Nurse Executive

Bonnie Perratto has served as the Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services/Chief Nurse Executive for Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Delaware since December 2006. She is responsible for the organization, coordination, administration and operational planning for Nursing, Emergency & Trauma Services, Pharmacy, Accreditation Services, and the Education Departments. She received her Diploma in Nursing in 1964 from Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science from the College of St. Francis in 1976. She earned her Masters of Business Administration in 1986 from Adelphi University School of Business, and her Masters in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 1996. Mrs. Perratto was also a Johnson & Johnson - Wharton Fellow for Nurse Executives in 1993. Mrs. Perratto has led two organizations, Bayhealth and Humility of Mary Health Partners, to the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet® Designation – Nursing’s highest award. Additionally, she has been a Magnet® Appraiser for nearly 11 years. Before coming to Bayhealth, she was the Senior Vice President at Humility of Mary Health Partners in Youngstown, Ohio from 2003-2006, and Vice President for Nursing & Clinical Services from 1996-2003. Prior to that she served as the Vice President/CNO for Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York for two years, and the Vice President of Nursing at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Allen Pavilion, in New York from 1988-1994. Prior to that Mrs. Perratto held increasing high-level Nurse Administrator roles at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Massapequa General Hospital, St John’s Episcopal Hospital, and Highland Health Care Center. Mrs. Perratto has achieved Nursing Administration Advanced Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mrs. Perratto is a member of the Delaware Organization for Nruse Leaders, and served as the President 2011-2012. In 2011, she was won the Delaware Excellence In Nursing Practice award for “Nurse Leader”. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, The American Nurses Association, and the Delaware Nurses Association. She is a charter member of the Southern Delaware Chapter of American Health Association’s Circle of Red. In addition, she serves on the President’s Advisory Board for the Ronald McDonald House in Wilmington, Delaware.
