Mafalda Carvalho

Mafalda Carvalho is a Portuguese-born author, speaker and founder of Prestige Care Consulting, based in Greater Manchester, UK. She brings a practice perspective from adult social care leadership in England, with interests in human-centred leadership, organisational culture, workforce inclusion and the practical implementation of change. Her professional background includes service management, quality assurance, safeguarding, staff development, recruitment, supervision and operational coordination in domiciliary care and supported living. Through Prestige Care Consulting, she develops practical diagnostics, manager resources and learning materials relating to leadership, culture, workforce wellbeing and quality improvement. Mafalda holds a BSc (Hons) in Health and Care Management from Arden University. She is the author of The Prestige Leader: The Human Side of Healthcare Leadership and has contributed to a neurodiversity panel. She communicates in English and Portuguese. As a guest facilitator for The Healthcare Executive, her focus is the relationship between staff voice, clear accountability and practical follow-through. Her contribution draws on UK adult social care experience; applications to US healthcare are presented for local consideration, without claiming tested outcomes in US hospital settings.
